Debbie Devauden
Debbie is primarily a water colour botanical artist but also enjoys painting other subjects. She has been an award-winning artist since the age of 5.
Stuart Lafford was her mentor and tutored Debbie for many years. In 2003, she gained a Diploma in Botanical Illustration at the Chelsea Physic Garden where she was taught the botany element by Mike Hickey.
She has exhibited her work widely, including with the Society of Botanical Artists annual exhibitions in London. Her work can be seen as far afield as Japan, America and New Zealand.
Her painting career has involved “painting on the radio” for BBC Radio Wales!
Debbie is Chair of the Gloucester Society for Botanical Illustration and a member of the Society of Botanical Artists (SBA), the Association of British Botanical Artists (ABBA), the American Society of Botanical Artists (ASBA) and the newly formed Wales Society of Botanical Illustrators.
